DAR ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 14-89

SUBJECT    :     Intelligence Civil Security Unit (ICSU)

           In the interest of the service, the Intelligence and Security Unit (ISU) of this Department, shall now be renamed INTELLIGENCE CIVIL SECURITY UNIT (ICSU).

          Considering the sensitivity and critical role it has to undertake, the Unit presently under the supervision and control of the Administrative Service shall now be transferred to the Office of the Secretary.

           Expansion of the Unit to include the VIP Security Section (close-in security of the Honorable Secretary and Undersecretaries); the Operation Section; Research and Analysis Section; and the Investigation Section, is hereby confirmed.

           Under this Order, the Communication Section and Physical Security Section (blue guards) concurrently under the General Services Division (GSD) shall now be transferred to the ICSU for consolidated supervision and control of related activities.

           This Order takes effect immediately.
